It will be released in March 2012 and would replace two EOS-1D models, the 1D X sports three DIGIC processors — including dual DIGIC 5+ processors to allow for up to 12fps RAW shooting and 1080p video capture, and a dedicated DIGIC 4 for metering and AF control — an all-new 61-point AF system, an 18 megapixel full frame CMOS sensor, a new 100,000-pixel RGB Metering Sensor, a super high speed, 14fps JPEG mode, and an all new shutter with carbon fiber blades rated for 400,000 cycles.
